Update! FO unlocking and locking update

Hello Backers,
Please note that we are going through all the orders and sending out as much as we can daily but we're a very small team so we ask that you please be patient with us. We are checking every utensil for defects and we've had to discard a large quantity of utensil because they are not functioning up to the standards we put in place.
Some of you have already received your FO eating utensils and asked us how to unlock and lock the utensils. We've added a couple of updated videos below to show you two methods that you can use. There are at least three ways to unlock and lock the utensil that I use regularly so if you find a way easier for you, that's awesome! Apple lovers, please don't get mad because apple was mentioned in the first video. I'm an Android user and the voice speaking is an apple user. LOL :)
We want to thank all of our the backers who requested the limited quantity finishes that are willing to wait for our next shipment in March. We placed our intitial order with our manufacturer well before the campaign launched so I ordered more of the standard colors I thought people would want like matte-polish, black and glossy finishes. I wasn't expecting so many of our backers to want the exotic colors so I was completely wrong. We've ordered at least 1000pcs of every finish so we'll have plenty to fill all the orders regardless of how many you requested of a certain finish. If you placed an order requesting the limited colors and are willing to wait for the finishes you'd prefer, please reach out to us at [email protected] with your name so we can add you to the waiting list for our next shipment.
Lastly, I want to remind you all to please WASH THE UTENSILS BEFORE USING! I forgot to add that piece of important information on the Thank You/Care cards that should've been included with every shipment.

Some of our shipments have already arrive to our early supporters and there are questions on how to unlock and lock. We apologize for not having any instructions on how to properly operate the utensils. I've used a variety of one-handed and two-handed opening methods since the beginning. Please see the quick video on how to open and close properly.

Packaging samples

Hello All,
Some of you have questions regarding the packaging I mentioned in the last update. The sleeves and outer packaging I was referring to will be discarded and thrown away once received. I've included some examples of what you will receive once your order arrives depending on how much can fit in the smallest package possible with your shipping label attached to the opposite side without our logo. The last is an example of the sleeve that will go over the orders who have carry cases with them but it will have our logo and information showing. The sleeve would be removed and thrown away once received. Hope this answers all your questions about the outer packaging I was speaking of. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello Backers,
We're happy to share the GREAT news and not so good news. Our first shipment arrived yesterday and we are over the moon excited! This is our first successful campaign so we decided to have our product shipped to us instead of a fulfillment center to make sure there are no issues with our Fourth Option utensils and cases. We unloaded and moved all the product to our designated area for quality check and processing to make sure our entire order is accounted for. We have a very small team so please be patient while we check each and every piece before shipping.
The not so good news is that we still haven't received our outer packaging we want to place on all the orders but we don't want to delay shipping as it could take a week or two more before we receive from our packaging design company. We want to see if shipping to you will be fine without the designer sleeves and holders for single utensil orders? The outer packing will have our Fourth Option stickers along with care instructions inside for your order so let us know if this will be acceptable for you. One important piece of information that I missed from our care instructions is to WASH BEFORE USE. I forgot to mention that on our care card information.
We still have about 15% of our backers who have not filled out their survey as of this morning. For our backers who have not informed us of the finishes they would like along with their shipping address, please complete your survey as soon as possible so we can ship to you when we arrive to your order. If no information is received, we will skip your order and move on to the next backer who did complete their survey notifying us of their shipping address. If you need the survey resent to you, please let us know and we'll get that sent to you as soon as possible. If you pledged through your apple id, there was no valid email on file and you would need to send us a good email to update the BackerKit site so we can send you your survey for completion.
As previously stated, we are starting with backer #1 and will proceed until all orders are filled. If you requested more than one rainbow finish and don't mind waiting until our second order arrives, we will ship those orders out as soon as possible. We've already placed our second order with our manufacturer and it's estimated to be completed in 35 days. Air shipments are extremely more expensive than sea shipment but we will have our second shipment delivered to us by air as we did for our first shipment so you won't have to wait too long for your orders.
For our international orders, we are searching for the cheapest shipping mode but with prices increasing regularly, we are struggling to find overseas shipping for less than $20. We will package your orders as compact as possible and be very transparent with the shipping cost to you before we ship as we don't want you to pay more than needed. With that being said, we will likely charge a minimum of $15 and pay the remaining balance over $20 for international shipments. For our neighbors up north of the US, shipping cost shouldn't be as much but we will be transparent with the shipping cost for you as well. Please also note that if you have customs and VAT fees, you are liable to cover those cost as well.
Some of you have asked see photos of the different case colors so I've included one for each size case below. We're super excited to be able to start shipping in January to all of our wonderful backers. Thank you again for supporting our campaign and we look forward to shipping each and every order as soon as possible.
